Living & Giving

Orelia proudly took part in the Mary Portas Living & Giving event at their Westbourne Grove Shop, back at the end of March.

A revolutionary concept, the Living & Giving stores merges the best of high fashion, charity shopping and local talent, in which all the money raised helps save children’s lives around the world. Stylist Mrs Jones was on hand to give out fashion tips and advice, and shoppers were treated to a complimentary glass of champagne and goodie bag, in which Orelia donated our favourite summer rope necklaces!

Orelia will continue to support this fantastic cause, so get yourselves down to Westbourne Grove for some guilt-free ethical shopping! And don’t forget to look through your wardrobe and bring along your donations!

A match ‘Made’ in heaven!

We are so excited about our latest collaboration, this time with fair trade
jewellery masters Made.

Made is the brainchild of Cristina Cisilino. Using sustainable local materials such as brass, beads, recycled glass, leather and wood, the collections are produced by independent artisans and small communities in East Africa. By providing the living wage and healthy working conditions along with information and business planning, Made’s workers are encouraged to develop sustainable businesses for themselves and their communities.

Together, we’ve designed a gorgeous collection just in time for summer. Mixing Orelia signature design (think tusks, gold battered discs and friendship bracelets) with Made’s materials and colours (think chunky chains and African styling).

The complete collection will be available from mid- May on our website, in TopShop Oxford Circus, and on Made’s website www.made.uk.com

Working with Ms Moss

It’s not often you get to say ‘as seen in Vogue’ but our latest collaboration with super model Kate Moss has ended up with a mention – have a look here:

http://www.vogue.co.uk/jewellery/news/101027-kate-moss-for-topshop-jewellery.aspx

As a new addition to the clothing range which Kate designs for Topshop, we were asked to collaborate with Ms Moss to create her range of jewellery designs to be sold online and instore.

Really really exciting, we love the result of all our great minds coming together :-) Most importantly, we hope you all do too!
