About Smart Works
We are proud to be enterering our fifth year of supporting Smart Works, a UK charity that exists to empower all women who need help getting into work. They use the power of high quality clothing and one-to-one coaching to help unemployed women fulfil their potential, get the job, and transform their lives.
With 11 centres across the UK, they help 63% of the women who come in get a job within just one month - helping 35,000 women since 2013!
Collette Volunteers at Smart Works
"I spent the day volunteering at Smart Works' East Croydon Centre, assisting in the Wardrobe department. The clients at Smart Works have 2 appointments, a First and Second Dressing Appointments - First Dressing is to help dress to go to a job interview. The Dresser's talk through the client's preferred colours, what role they are going for, size, fit preferences. The Dresser pulls clothing, shoes, blazers, bags, everything they need from the rails and present to the client to try.
It was incredible seeing the before and after transformation, the huge smile and the boost in confidence once they'd found the outfit that made them feel great! Once the client has the job, then they can go back for a second appointment to select a further 5 pieces to help them create their new working wardrobe."
Orelia X Smart Works
You can support Smart Works too! From 16th-22nd Sept 2024, we'll be donating one new piece of jewellery for every order placed. Your orders will help in refreshing their jewellery wardrobe with lots of favourite Orelia pieces, to help their clients create an interview outfit they feel confident in.
